QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE:

• Academic Qualifications: 
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher, in gender and/or environmental sciences and forestry
• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience as technical expert and advisor in gender equality in development programs and projects.
• She/he must have experience in policy formulation, monitoring, and evaluation of gender equality projects and programs, as well as project planning and design. Knowledge of Global Affairs Canada policies and priorities is an asset.
• Experience in working closely with senior officials of the Government of Indonesia and NGOs
• Language: English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For this consulting position, fluency in oral and written English and Bahasa is require

  SKILLS: 

• Knowledge and understanding of theories, concepts and approaches relevant to Climate Change and REDD+, and practical experience in environmental management, climate change adaptation or other related fields.
