JOB DESCRIPTION


LOCATION: ADDIS ABABA

DATE OF JOB EXPIRATION: Nill

ORGANIZATION: United Nations

QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE:

  •  Advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent degree) in economics, development studies, business or public administration, or related field is required. A first-level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
  • Work Experience
  • A minimum of ten years of progressively responsible experience dealing with economic
  • development issues is required.
  • A publication list of research documents related to Africa is desirable.
  • Experience working with managing multidisciplinary teams is desirable.
  • Experience working with intergovernmental bodies in Africa is desirable.
  • Experience dealing with specific economic development challenges of Africa is desirable.

Thorough understanding of on-going international economic and development issues related to Africa. Proven diplomatic and negotiating skills in intergovernmental contexts.
